FAQ

I am located in Poole Dorset, and have lived here all my life.

Areas that I cover include the whole of Poole, Bournemouth, Wimborne, Ferndown and Christchurch. If you are outside these areas, then let’s chat and see what can be arranged.

I have experience in dealing with large dogs it is important in all new clients to familiarise myself with the animal and obtain a level of trust.

When we meet up, I will go over with you the needs of your pet and work with you in establishing a plan to suit you and your pet’s needs.

At our initial consultation we will discuss what your dog is used to its recall abilities and obedience levels. Walks off lead will only be made with your consent.

A session can be from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending your needs. Included in that time is a short period of handover. Should you wish your dog to be walked in an area away from your local vicinity i.e. beach or forest extra charges may apply.

In extreme weather (above 26 degrees) walks will be scheduled earlier if possible or house visits will be done instead where we have a range of puzzle games to play, so that the dogs are mentally stimulated rather than exposing them to extreme heat.

No, the majority of our clients are happy for us to hold keys for their property or supply key safe codes. All keys and codes are kept in a secure location and will never be marked with anything other than your dog’s name for identification.

All dogs can have a name tag clipped onto their collars, which has my telephone number, just in case. You will be informed immediately if any issues arise.

You will be contacted immediately, if we are unable to contact you and veterinary treatment is required your dog will be taken straight to the vet. If the vet is not required, I will use my canine first aid training to safety of your dog, ourselves and the public is our absolute priority. Dogs are sometimes naughty, just like children they can misbehave at the worst moment.

As long as no harm is going to come to anyone or anything else they may just get recalled for a five-minute calm down. If they become aggressive or reactive they will be put back on lead and a discussion may need to be had about solo walks being a preferred option Dogs with aggressive tendencies will not be accepted, this is for the safety of other dogs in the group and the safety of the dog walker.

All dogs MUST be fully vaccinated. Bitches in season can be walked but only with your strict consent, these walks can only be done on an individual basis and in a more private or controlled area.

Although I am insured to walk up to 6 dogs at one time a maximum of 4 is preferred.

Group walks take into consideration the size and temperament of the animals.

I will only walk your dog with other dogs if you are happy for me to do so.
